Back to Back !!!
Something that is rarely seen or accomplished in any form or level of sport; back to back premierships!!!
After taking six seasons to attain the club's second premiership, the third was consecutive.
The nucleus of the 2007/08 4th division side remained intact and history repeated itself with another premiership,
this time in 2nd division. The team was regraded to play in a combined 1st/2nd division competition.
The season was tough, at one stage losing 3 in a row. But when the chips were down the team responded to win vital matches.
The most vital was in the last round when we needed to beat Belmore Diggers, a seasoned 1st division team, outright and we did.
Congratulations also go out to the 6th division team, who made it to the semi final.
In two seasons, the second team has made a final and a semi final.
Well done to Daele Shin and the boys on their effort and for helping out 2nd division on a number of occasions.
Thank you to you all for a wonderful season. The Annual Report
is now on the website as well as the updated Photos from the Presentation Night.
The Award winners for 2009/10 were as follow:

The Banboukjian Award for Outstanding Effort 2nd Div - JIM TERZIS

After taking so long to attain a second team, it happened in 2007/08.
More spectacularly was that both teams made the Grand Final.

These celebrations continued on Friday night, the 11th April 2008 with the clubs Presentaion night.
The celebrations lasted will into the hours the follwing day. What a season !!!

It's been a mixed start to the season; a bye, a draw, 2 wins and 2 consecutive losses.
The last match was the worst I have been associated with. We should never had lost scoring 338 runs.
The bowling, fielding and general attitude was poor except for a couple of you.
We have slipped to 5th and need to win the 50 over one-dayer on Saturday.
We are playing against the team coming 6th. The way we are playing, this will be a tough game.
On paper we are the best team in the competition, and need to pull our finger out.
We need to play with passion, pride and hunger til the last ball is bowled.
True character isn't displayed when you win, it's when you're losing.
Hence the saying, "When the going get tough, the tough get going", or as Paul Sullivan
likes to say, "Cometh the hour, cometh the man.
It's not that we lost, it's how we lost.
Your urgency and commitment will need to improve, otherwise some of you will be asked to leave,
no questions asked.
I wish us all the best for the last match of the year.
I also wish all of you the Best Wishes for the Festive Season.
We will resume on Saturday the 13th of January at 10.00am.
We're playing a 50 over one-day match at Tasker Park against Croydon Park United.

Another season has ended disappointingly. After winning the Minor Premiership,
we slumped to a 21 run loss against fourth placed and eventual winners Earlwood Wanderers.
The Presentation Dinner has been held with Joe Zaccheo winning the Player of the Year Award,
whilst George Kokotovic won the Clubman of the Year Award. Well done to all of you that performed
well and contributed week in week out on and off the field.
Nevertheless, it was a huge improvement on last years performances.
There was a new attitude and hunger to do well.
That's all for now. I will be in contact in July, and training starts in August.
Enjoy the off season !!!
