2002/03 Player of the Year

The winner of the 2002/03 Player of
the Year Award was Greg Giannini.
He had a stellar season and carried
the team with the bat. He amassed
800 runs at an average of 57.14. He
scored eight 50’s and one 100. His
wicket keeping was the best in the
division and it created a professional
atmosphere out in the field. He
ended up with 25 catches and 3
stumpings. Greg has been a great
player for the club and was unlucky
to miss out the previous season on
the award. Greg was offered the
captaincy for the 2003/04 season as
a result of his all-round involvement
and contribution to the club. He also
    picked up the prestigious C&WSCA
award for the most runs scored in
    the 6th division. Well deserved!
    Sam Giannini offered to be
the judge of the award in
    2002/03 and presented his
    brother with the award. A
very big thank you goes to
    Sam, the inaugural winner of
    the award in the 2000/01
    season.
